How can I buy ezDatabase?

What are the system requirements for ezDatabase?

ezDatabase will run on any server that has PHP 4.1.0 or greater and MySQL 3.23 or greater installed.

Note: We suggest you contact your server hosting company and ask if they have the correct versions of PHP and MySQL installed. If you run your own server, you can download PHP and MySQL from php.net and mysql.com.

What technical knowledge do I need to run ezDatabase?

Basic HTML knowledge is required in order to edit templates. If you wish to install ezDatabase yourself you will need to know your MySQL login and database information.

What PHP configuration will ezDatabase work with?

ezDatabase will work with most standard PHP configurations. We recommend you double check the following points with your system administrator before installing ezDatabase on your server.

  • The setting, "file_uploads", must be switched on.
  • The setting, "allow_url_fopen", must be switched on.
  • If "safe mode" is switched on, please make sure that "safe_mode_allowed_env_vars" allows the user to modify "PHP_" environmental variables.
  • If "open_basedir" is set, make sure that it allows PHP to open files from your ezDatabase directory.
  • PHP must be running under the Apache module.

If you want to bring up information about the PHP configuration on your server, create a file called "phpinfo.php" with the following contents, then load it in your browser:

Will ezDatabase work on Windows/Unix?

Yes - ezDatabase will work on any server with PHP and MySQL installed, including Unix, Windows NT/98/2000, and many more.

Will ezDatabase work with other databases (MS SQL, Coldfusion, Oracle)?

No, currently ezDatabase only supports MySQL. MySQL is open source, so you may download and install it for free. For more information, visit mysql.com.

Can I have a trial license?

We currently do not offer trial licenses. If you would like to try out ezDatabase, please take a look at our online demo.

Do you offer any discounts for mass ordering?

Please contact billing@ezdatabase.org if you would like a discount for mass ordering.

Why is my order "Pending Review"?

In order keep our prices down, ezDatabase runs specific checks on all orders to prevent fraudulent purchases. If an order fails one of these checks, then it will simply go into a "pending review" status. If this happens to one of your orders, don't worry! We'll simply review the transaction, then activate your ezDatabase products. The review process usually takes place within several hours.
